Lonsdale Access Problem

Access to lonsdale.tchpc.tcd.ie is temporarily interrupted. If you are trying to connect to lonsdale.tchpc.tcd.ie from the College network, including the VPN, it will not work.
Lonsdale is still up and its queue is still processing jobs but it is not directly accessible. Lonsdale is accessible via rsync.tchpc.tcd.ie, our access host, with the following example command.
ssh -X lonsdale
You must first log into rsync.tchpc.tcd.ie for that to work. Rsync is accessible from the College network, including the VPN. If you connect via the College VPN you will first need to login to Rsync to then log into Lonsdale.
If you used Lonsdale to transfer files, you can use rsync.tchpc.tcd.ie instead, they share the same file system.
Our apologies for the inconvenience.
The root cause appears to be network equipment failure. We have scheduled remedial works for the week starting May 31st to resolve this and improve resilience.
